With a foundation in Fine Arts and a lifelong passion for character performance, cosplay, and musical theatre, Cecilia Magdalena Nagel—affectionately known as Princess Maggie— set out to redefine children’s entertainment in South Africa. Her vision was clear: to create a hands-on, high-quality entertainment company that does more than just entertain—it inspires.

 

Princess Maggie’s Experiences was born from the belief that characters should be more than just “pretty girls in dresses.” Each performer is trained to embody values such as kindness, leadership, inclusivity, active listening, and a love for nature—transforming every interaction into a meaningful moment that children remember as part of their magical childhood.

 

Originally intended as a part-time passion project while completing her studies in Interior Design, the business quickly exceeded all expectations. In 2021, during her final year of university, Cecilia opened her dream venue—Princess Maggie’s Fairytale Cottage—a whimsical space where stories come to life.

While working in business administration, she reinvested everything into growing the brand. In 2024, Cecilia made the leap to full-time entrepreneurship, committing her creativity and heart to building an entertainment company that sets a new standard for children’s events in South Africa.

 

Today, as a full-time business owner, she continues to grow Princess Maggie’s with the goal of becoming the number one choice for children’s entertainment in the country—offering unforgettable experiences that celebrate imagination, empathy, and joy.
